What the uplift is worth

Revenue now / month€11,200
Revenue at target / month€16,800
Extra / month€5,600
Extra / year€67,200

A European ecommerce average is ~1.5–2.5%. Getting from 2% to 3% is a 50% revenue jump on the exact same traffic — you pay nothing more to bring the visitors in.

Indicative estimate based on your inputs. Actual results depend on traffic quality, product fit and how much of the funnel you improve.

How conversion rate turns into revenue

Your revenue is just three numbers multiplied together: visitors, conversion rate and average order value. Most stores pour money into the first number — more ads, more traffic — while the conversion rate quietly caps how much of that traffic ever turns into orders. Improving conversion is the cheapest lever because the visitors are already on your site and already paid for.

The maths is unforgiving in a good way. Going from a 2% to a 3% conversion rate is not a '1 percentage point' change — it is 50% more orders and 50% more revenue on the exact same traffic. This calculator shows that jump in euros per month and per year so you can weigh a website or checkout improvement against what it actually returns.

  • For European ecommerce, roughly 1.5–2.5% is typical, though it varies a lot by sector, price point and traffic source. High-intent, returning-customer stores can sit well above that. Use your own current rate as the baseline rather than chasing an industry average.
