Cookie Policy

Which cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how you can manage your consent.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (along with similar technologies such as local storage or pixels). They help the site work, remember your choices and, if you agree, understand how the site is used.

Cookies can be first-party (set by our site) or third-party (set by other providers), and either session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (valid for a set time). The use of non-essential cookies is governed by Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and the Lithuanian Law on Electronic Communications.

2. Consent and your choices

Strictly necessary cookies are always used, because the site would not work without them. All other — non-essential — cookies are only set after you give prior consent.

Consent is granular for each category: you can enable or reject analytics and marketing cookies separately. We do not use pre-ticked boxes, and rejecting all non-essential cookies is as easy as accepting them. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings (below).

3. Categories of cookies

We group the cookies we use into the following categories. Non-essential cookies stay switched off until you confirm your consent.

  • Strictly necessary (always active, no consent needed): session, security and CSRF protection, load-balancing, and cookies that remember your cookie-consent state
  • Analytics / statistics (consent): help us understand how the site is used — only used if you enable them
  • Marketing / advertising (consent): only used if you enable them

4. Cookies we use

Below are the cookies we actually use today. We only set the Microsoft Clarity analytics cookies if you opt in; everything else is strictly necessary.

  • Microsoft Clarity — _clck: provider Microsoft; purpose: stores a Clarity user ID so repeat visits are attributed to the same visitor; duration: about 1 year; consent: required (analytics).
  • Microsoft Clarity — _clsk: provider Microsoft; purpose: links page views from the same visit into one session recording; duration: 1 day; consent: required (analytics).
  • web1o-consent: provider first party (browser local storage); purpose: remembers your cookie-consent choice; duration: persistent until you clear it; consent: not required (strictly necessary).

5. Third parties and transfers

By default, our website does not set non-essential third-party cookies until you give consent.

If you enable analytics cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. / Microsoft Corporation), a behavioural-analytics service that captures site-usage statistics, heatmaps and anonymised session replays. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement at privacy.microsoft.com for details. Where Microsoft Clarity transfers data outside the EU / EEA (to the US), it relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not currently use any marketing cookies.

6. Managing cookies

You can review or change your consent at any time in this site's cookie settings — use the “Cookie settings” button below.

You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy, and for any questions contact us at info@web1o.com.
